Elizabeth Gaswint Haselden

Elizabeth "Marie" Gaswint Haselden, 51, of Prospect, died at her home on May 23, 2009.
She was born in Long Beach, Calif., on June 21, 1957, to Jack and Patricia (O’Brien) Gaswint. She was the first of three girls. She lived in the Rogue Valley nearly her entire life and worked as a caregiver and cook for disabled and elderly.
She made many friends and was known for her giving heart and love of animals. She was always willing to take care of others needs before her own.
She took her Indian heritage seriously as she displayed her many treasures in her home with pride. Her favorite past times were having picnics on Elk Creek, watching TV and reading a good book, but most of all she loved spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her mother, Patricia; son, Michael Gaswint (Tabitha); daughter, Jules Glover and companion, Billy Goache, sisters, Rene Sfragidas (Pete) and Cherri Schmidt (Wade) and  two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Gaswint.
A "Celebration of Life" potluck picnic was held May 30 at Casey State Park.
