Parade Results

Hats off to parade organizer Suzi Collins and her volunteers. Special kudos this year to Barry Hoffman for stepping in at just about the last minute to assist Mayor Leon Sherman with announcing duties. And, as always, thanks to Valley Feed & Pet Supply for providing his trailer for the reviewing stand. Results are as follows

Antique & Collector (1900-1949)- 1st- Rick & Terry Keesling with a 1937 Plymouth

Contemporary (1950-1978) vehicles- 1st- Greg Danner and his 1972 black Corvette; 2nd- Harold & Nancy Reid, 1958 Pink Lincoln Continental Convertible; 3rd – former EP Mayor Bob Kimmel in his 1956 Thunderbird.

Modern (1979 and newer)-1st Ron Seering with his 2004 Corvette; 2nd. Corvette Enthusiasts, Steve Hunter and Madelon Cahill in a 2000 red Corvette convertible. 3rd- 1994 Chevy Corvette (only 100 this color in U.S.) Owned by Bob Kimmel, driven by Dr. Al Eaton.

 

Non-Commercial Clubs- 1st- Eagle Point Women=s Club, ALet=s Celebrate@ featuring large birthday cake for Oregon=s 150th. On it is the state bird, Western Meadowlark, state animal- Beaver and state fish- Chinook salmon. The state tree, Douglas fir is represented by the green garland.; 2nd School District 9 ALove those birthdays@ with two school buses.

Specialty (custom built)- 1st- 1931 Ford Hi Boy Roadster, owned by Ron Foster; 2nd- 1950 Mercury custom, Steve & Terri Anderson.

Children’s Groups
- 1st – Alex and Kelly Bellon, AThe Hale Kids Salute Oregon;@ 2nd- Pack/Troop 48 Eagle Point Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venture Club celebrating 100 years of Scouting. Cub Master Brian Schenk, Boy Scout Master Randy Sell; 3rd- Upper Rogue Cal Ripken All Star Girls.

Individual Child
- 1st- Kodi Watson, in go kart made by his great-grandfather in 2006; 2nd- ARoad Rash@ Nick Madtson and custom built go kart.

Commercial Organization- 1st- Wal-Mart Store #5424, AOregon or Bust@ 2nd- Eagle Point Chamber of Commerce, APast and Present@ representing Avenue of Flags with The Chamber of Commerce. Decorated by Riverview 4-H Club; 3rd Grange Co-Op celebrating 75 years.

- 1st – Reese Creek Little Lambs Preschool, 2nd- New Beginnings Church, AGet out and camp Oregon;@ 3rd- Eagle Valley Cowboy Church.

Mounted Equestrians- 1st- The Riders, Happy Birthday Oregon; 2nd- A Touch of Class Equestrians 4-H Club AHappy Birthday Oregon- some values never change;@ 3rd- Tiffanee Tucker and AMy Best Friend@, 17 yr.old horse named Chester.

Pooper Scooper- 1st The Riders; 2nd-Touch of Class Equestrians ADad drill team Pooper Scoopers performing drill team patterns to do their duty; 3rd- Hillah Shrine Desert Patrol AWe ride so our children can walk.@

Car Clubs- 1st- Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Assoc.; 2nd- So. Ore. Military Vehicle Collector=s club.

Tractors/Farm Equipment- 1st- 955 Allis Chalmers Model G tractor, restored, Bob Sullivan; 2nd- Greg Vogel, APast Farming days@, 1955 Farmall Model M tractor 3rd- Joe Carini, 1948 Ford Fergeson custom painted, hand crafted.

Other Livestock- 1st- Red Rock Cowboy Church.
