Thomas Adam Davis, Sr., 81, of Eagle Point, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at the Rogue Valley Medical Center, Medford. He was born Feb. 11, 1928 in Mango County, West Virginia, the son of Mary and J.P. Davis.
He was raised in West Virginia and moved to Phoenix, Oregon in 1960. The next year he moved to Ashland where he worked for the Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland.
On November 26, 1996 at Brownsboro he married the former Martha Alice Hollaway who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife are: two sons, Thomas Davis Jr. of Bellfair, WA and Michael Davis of Spokane, WA; two daughters, Evelyn Elario of Canby, OR and Sonjia Smith of Virginia Beach, VA; two brothers John Davis of Willits, CA and Joe Davis of High Point, N. Carolina; two sisters Janet and Carol both of Florida; a half sister, Lorraine Carter of West Virginia; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The funeral for Thomas Adam Davis Sr. was held Saturday, July 18 at the Brownsboro Community Church, Brownsboro, Oregon. Arrangements: Litwiller – Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland, Oregon.
