Young Eagle fall to Crescent Valley

{gallery}09_08_09/marlia/{/gallery} The royal blue Eagles got a little black and blue Friday night in their home opener. Crescent Valley ran the ball, ran the ball, ran the ball and ran the ball to the tune of over 350 yards in the game. Eagle Point’s offense was able to drive the ball to the red zone, but miscues kept them out of the end zone until the 4th quarter when they put up their only points of the game. Those scores came on plays from Marlia to Aaron Foster.

Nearly half  of the Eagle starters were sophomores while Crescent Valley’s line-up showed only two underclassmen.

The final score was 42-12.

This Friday Eagle Point goes Klamath Falls to play Henley. Ashland defeated Henley Friday night 22-14. The next home game will be Sept. 18 when Mountain View travels to Eagle Point.
