Bonnie A. Finchum, of Butte Falls, died Sept. 30, 2009.
She was born to Hans and Sadie Nelson of May 18, 1922 in Regent, N.D., one of nine children.
The family moved to Leavenworth, Wash. In 1936 where she attended high school. She married Frank Finchum in 1948 in Coer D’Alene, Idaho. They were married for 50 years. He passed away in 1998. They moved from Leavenworth to Butte Falls in 1962.
Mrs. Finchum was a mother, homemaker and friend. She raised seven children. She was a member of the Butte Falls Community Bible Church. She loved sitting in the sunshine, flowers and friends and especially family gatherings.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherri (Neal) Ellis, of Butte Falls, sons Dale (Tresa) Finchum, Sams Valley, Don (Lenny) Finchum, of Wimer, Ore., Mack (Vicki) Finchum, of Minden, Nevada and Kelly Finchum of Silver Springs, Nevada; 10 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughters, Phyllis Elaine and Barbara Jean.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m. at the Butte Falls Community Bible Church. The service will be officiated by Pastor Don Pedrick.
