Clarence Ray Sanders, 85, of Reno, Nevada died Oct. 13, 2009.
He was born Dec. 18, 1923.
He worked as a cat skinner for Medford Corporation for 10 years and he owned the Arco Gas station in Prospect for several years. He worked for the Prospect School District driving school bus for several years until his retirement. Mr. Sanders lived in Rogue Valley for over 35 years in Butte Falls/Prospect area.
He loved the outdoors, horseback riding, hunting, fishing & camping. He loved to build and remodel houses.
He was a great father, grandfather and great-grandfather and loved his family dearly. He will be missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Florine “Penny” Sanders; two sons, Steven James Sanders, Spokane WA and Raymond Lee Sanders, Reno, NV; and a daughter Debra Marion Pingle, Eagle Point. He had nine grandchildren and 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, JR Sanders.
The funeral service for Mr. Sanders will be at Perl Funeral Home/Siskiyou Cemetery in Medford, Saturday, Oct 24 at 2 p.m.
