EPMS wraps up cross country season

Several young men and women from Eagle Point Middle School were up to the challenge of running the 1.8 mile (3000 meter) cross country course.  This season we had a total of 18 Runners with 13 of them going to the grand finale District Meet held in Ruch.

What makes cross country different from a traditional foot race is the variation in terrain. This year’s cross country runners ran on everything from flat grassy areas to steep and rocky courses. Our runners were up to every challenge and gained strength and speed as the season progressed.

This year’s team was a young group with only two returning eighth grade runners. With the majority of runners being 6th grade mixed with a few 7th grade runners, it is not hard to predict that next year will be even better. Way to go Panthers!
