Events are planned this week to help with expenses as a result of a serious motorcross accident incurred Oct. 24 by 10-year-old Chase Grimes. Young Chase was competing in a state competition when the injury occurred. He spent a couple of weeks at Doernbecher’s in Portland, and is now back home recovering from multiple injuries.
His parents, who usually run the motorcross races, recently opened the Pizza on the Cove in Shady Cove. They have no insurance. Needless to say, they need all the financial help they can get. And their community of friends are rallying to the cause.
