T.J. Geyer, 31, died suddenly on Nov. 17, 2009 at his home. He was born July 28, 1978, in Medford to Chach Gray and Timothy Geyer, Sr.
T.J. attended Eagle Point High School where he made many life-long friends. On Oct. 26, 1997, he married Janette A. Geyer. They had three beautiful children; Tanner, Austin and Samantha Geyer.
T.J. followed in his father’s footsteps and became a meat cutter and custom butcher. He had grown up learning the trade. He was employed at The Butcher Shop in Eagle Point. He previously worked for Win-Co Foods and had moved around Oregon and Washington, working in several cities. It didn’t take him long to miss home and his family.
As far as T.J. was concerned, there were two seasons in a year; hunting and fishing. He and his children, brothers and friends, spent a great deal of time fishing and camping on the Rogue River. He had a passion for the outdoors, no matter the weather.
In addition to his children, he is survived by his father and step-mother, Tim and Sheryl Geyer, Central Point; mom and dad, Chach and David Gray, Medford; sister, Teuka (Chris) Ponder, Eagle Point; brothers, David, Jr (Tina) Cove City, N.C., Jon (Alisha) Geyer, Medford, Kyle (Cori) Gray, White City, Kevin Gray, Medford and Cole Geyer, Central Point; grandmothers, Bonnie Geyer, Ashland and Louise Murdoch, Gainsville, Va. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lorenn Geyer, Orbie Slinger and Loretta Row.
A celebration of life was held at TouVelle State Park.
