EPHS boys basketball results

Eagle Point boys traveled to Phoenix Dec. 10-11-12 for a three day round-robin tournament. On Dec. 10, the Eagles played Tenison Woods, a traveling team from Australia. The Eagles won 49-30. Logan Winter led the Eagles with 17 points while grabbing 10 rebounds. Zach Reed chipped in with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Juan Gonsalez contributed 4 assists.

The following day, the Eagles matched up with Cascade Christian, the 3rd ranked 3A team in the state. The Eagles came up short 39-49 in a very physical contest. Logan Winter again led the Eagles in scoring with 10 points and on the boards with 12 rebounds. Zach Reed added 9 points and 6 rounds.

On Saturday, Dec. 12, the Eagles returned to Phoenix for a game with the Sweet Home Huskies, losing in a hard fought game 60-64. The Eagles got down early, but battled back to take a one point lead with 2:30 to go, but could not sustain the momentum. Logan Winter put up 23 points and tacked on 15 rebounds with Tyrone Holmes adding 12 points and 6 rebounds.

The Eagles hosted the North Valley Knights on Tuesday, Dec. 15. The game was back and forth early with the Eagles holding a 2 point advantage at the half. The Eagles were able to take control in the 3rd period and pushed their lead to double digits in the 4th quarter, and were able to hold off a North Valley run with some clutch free-throw shooting down the stretch to seal the 62-55 win. 

Austin Marlia led the Eagles with a season high 17 points followed by Logan Winter with 16. Winter also grabbed 7 rebounds and Marlia chipped in with 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Jonathan Bolston and Juan Gonsalez added 4 assists each.
