Our staff joins in wishing each of you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday season. Many of us have seen better times financially, but this is probably a good time to take a deep breath and think about what we do have.
If we have good or reasonably good health, we can be thankful. If we have a place we can call home, with a roof over our heads, four walls and windows, with some heat and water, we have more than many and for that we can be thankful.
If we have family nearby we can be especially thankful. But even if they are not near, we can be thankful to have family. And if we know they are safe, we can be extremely thankful.
As we get older we learn that there is truly more to Christmas than presents under the tree.
But, on the other hand, those of us fortunate enough to have children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, will forever cherish the memories of those Christmas mornings when they see Santa did arrive.
We hope Santa comes to each and every one this year–perhaps you have reached the age or stage where he won’t put a gift under the tree, but will instead be at your side throughout 2010 bringing good health and good cheer.
That is our wish for you this Christmas.
