The annual meeting of the Jackson County Stockman’s Association will be held Jan. 16 at the Mace Building at the Jackson County Expo in Central Point. Coffee and cookies start at 1:30 p.m. with the meeting at 2 p.m. This will be followed with a social hour from 5-6 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. Dinner is just $12.
After all the wonderful suggestions the format of the annual meeting has been shortened. It will begin later in the day so everyone can get their cows fed! Better yet, we will be in the Bob and Phyllis Mace Building at the Fair Grounds. Bill Hoyt, Oregon Cattleman’s president will provide an enlightening message during dinner.
The cattle women will be having an oral auction to raise funds for the scholarship program. Becky Haas has been out rounding up many good silent auction items for the Stockman’s Association. The evening will finish with some dancing.
