Clara M. Snyder

Clara May Snyder, 75, a longtime Prospect resident, died Jan. 12, 2010 at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born in Medford on Sept. 8, 1934, to Vic and Velma (Mead) Chapman. She grew up, went to school, and lived most of her life in Prospect. On Dec. 5, 1952, in Prospect, she married Roger Alan Snyder who preceded her in death in 1997.

Mrs. Snyder worked for many years at the old Prospect store. She enjoyed the outdoors, picking berries, fishing, hunting and cooking. She was a member of the Prospect Lioness Club.

She is survived by a son, Jaime Snyder, of Central Point; two sisters, Lavina Chapman, of Prospect, and Lola Derosier of John Day, Ore. three brothers, Dale Chapman, Cliff Chapman and Duane Chapman, all of Prospect.; and two grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital. She will be laid to rest next to her late husband in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.
