Jackson County Circuit Court Judge, Tim Barnack, will share the experience of his first year in court with the public and Neighborhood Watch Program participants on Monday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. at Shady Cove City Hall. A former prosecutor, Barnack is an advocate for victims including children, seniors and those dealing with domestic violence. He believes in accountability when it comes to crime.
Recently Barnack appeared on Court TV for having successfully prosecuted Jack Harrelson, a notorious Native American grave looter. In 2008 he prosecuted Richard Pruitt for a murder committed in Central Point near Exit 33. Now Barnack is on the other side of the bench and what he has to share with the audience should be stimulating.
As well as donning the judicial robe, the 45-year-old Barnack is active in the community. This all-around judge also holds a black belt in Karate.
The public is welcome and cookies will be served. Shady Cove City hall is at 22451 Highway 62. For more information call 878-3568.
