The Eagles hosted the Mazama Vikings on Tuesday, Feb. 9, and came up on the short end by a score of 65-53. The Eagles continue to struggle in putting a complete game together.

Turnovers and poor shooting in the first half led to a 17 point half time deficit. The Eagles battled back in the third quarter to trail by only 6 to start the 4th quarter. The Eagles were able to cut the lead to 5, but could get no closer as Mazama was able to close the game out by hitting 17 of 19 free throws in the 4th quarter.
The Eagles were led in scoring by Logan Winter and Zach Reed with 15 points each. Matt Smith added 11 points and Tyrone Holmes chipped in with 8 points. Zach Reed led the Eagles on the glass with 9 rebounds and Tyrone Holmes grabbed 8 boards. Logan Winter led the Eagles with 7 assists.

The team traveled to Phoenix High School on Feb. 11 for a non-league game with the Phoenix Pirates. The Pirates proved to be less than gracious hosts as they posted a 63-53 win over the Eagles. Once again the Eagles displayed the ability to compete with any team at given times throughout the game, but were unable to make enough plays to secure the victory.

Tyrone Holmes led the Eagles in scoring with 16 points followed by Logan Winter with 10, Zach Reed with 9, and Tyler VanDyke with 8. Holmes, Winter, and Reed Tallied 10, 9, and 8 rebounds to carry the Eagles on the glass.
