Lenore Carol Gebhard, 74, of Sams Valley, died Feb. 6, 2010, in Medford.
She was born March 14, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wisc., to Leonard and Dorothy King. She attended Eugene High School and Oregon State University where she graduated in 1957 with a degree in education.
She met and married her husband of 53 years, Vernon Gebhard, in 1957 in Eugene. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1958.
In 1965, they moved to their ranch in Sams Valley where she lived until her passing.
She was a member of the Central Point School Board of Directors for 35 years and a 4-H leader for 42 years. She also served on the Farm Home Administration Board, the Cascade Hospital Board, Central Point Garden Club and was a member of the Table Rock Bible Church.
She enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, sewing, painting, raising rabbits and miniature donkeys.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon; four children, Lisa Eisiminger, of Imbler, Ore., Brian Gebhard, of Sams Valley, Carrie Andre, of Troutdale, Ore., and Leslie McClurkin, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
A graveside service was held Feb. 12 at Memory Gardens with a memorial service later that day at Trail Christian Fellowship. Donations may be made to Table Rock Bible Church or to the Crater High Foundation.
