Robert Breland, 77, of Eagle Point, died Feb. 19, 2010 at his home.
He was born Oct. 12, 1932 in Bastrop, La., to Estus Monroe and Merle Elizabeth(Johnson) Breland, one of four sons and four daughters.
He was a member of the U.S. Air Force and in 1947, he was assigned to the 62nd Supply Group at McCord AFB, Tacoma, Wash.
Mr. Breland played and sing at some of the local night clubs. He worked for Westland Health Insurance, Orkin Pest Control, Bekins Moving & Storage, Cooper Logging, Ragsdale Logging and a number of other businesses out of state.
He is survived by brothers, Bernard and Leland; sisters, June, Patsy and Helen; four children, Virginia, Robert S., Gloria and Susan; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 2 ½ great-great-grandchildren as well as his friend and love the past 14 years, Carol.
He was laid to rest at the Eagle Point National Cemetery on Feb. 26.
