The 140th anniversary of the Wood House will be celebrated May 1 and 2 with a Southern Oregon Farm Festival. Hours will be Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 9-4 p.m. Admission $2 for adults, $1 for seniors and children 7-12.
The Oregon Sheep Dog Society will offer a demonstration on sheep herding, followed by draft horse and pack mule demo. These events will be from 11-2 p.m. both days.
Some of the other events going on all day will be quilting, soap making, Little Butte Mountain Men encampment, children’s games, Jefferson State Regulators Gun Club, gold panning, antique tractors, gas engines and lots more. There will be food vendors as part of the 100 participants.
The Wood House is located at 12988 Hwy. 62, a little over a mile north of Eagle Point. Parking will be available at Willamette Egg Ranch with free shuttle service.
