The Eagle Point & Upper Rogue Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Candidate’s Forum on Monday. Apr. 19, at 7 p.m. at the Ashpole Center, next to the city hall on Buchanan St. (between Linn Road and Main St.).
House District 55 (representing the Upper Rogue) candidates Mike McLane of Powell Butte and Mike Wendel of Prineville, are the Republican candidates. There are no Democratic candidates, thus one of these gentlemen will be the new State Representative following the May primary.
In addition to hearing from both candidates, nine of the 13 candidates for Jackson County Commissioner have said they will be at the forum. They are: Seat 1-Republicans Morris Saltekoff, Don Skundrick and Jack Walker and Democrat Jeff Golden; for Seat 3- Republicans Doug Breidenthal, Kay Harrison and John Rachor and for the Democrats Jim Sims and Mike Wisnovsky.
The Chamber encourages the public to take advantage of this opportunity to meet and question candidates and hear their position on various issues.
The evening is free and their be refreshments.
