The annual Wildflower Show May 1 and 2 in Shady Cove contains more than the beautiful wildflowers. Art, quilts and plants will attract many to the event at the Shady Cove Middle School gym on Cleveland St. Hours are 10-4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is by donation.
A newly designed T-shirt will show a local landmark, an antique vehicle with the license plate reading the year 2010 and flowers. The T-shirt design is a mystery until the show.
Last but not least are the raffle and door prizes. The huge variety includes restaurant meals of prime rib and other culinary delights, bicycles, children’s sleeping bags and many other useful and fun prizes.
As is tradition, the Upper Rogue Community Center will BBQ their ever-popular chicken, Polish dogs and hot dogs right outside the door for the hungry crowd. Drinks and chips are also available, said URCC Board Chair Stan Johnson.
