Adam Elslman Wehinger, 34, died April 30, 2010. He was born to Dr. Ralph E. Wehinger and Susan E. Jones in Davenport, Iowa on Aug. 13, 1975.
He was raised in Eagle Point. After graduating from Eagle Point High School, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served four years, stationed in Hawaii and Korea. After he was discharged, he rejoined the military, this serving in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Ft. Hood, Texas, before being shipped to the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was there he fought as a mortar man for more than a year. Upon his return he was honorably discharged due to being disabled in war with Post Traumatic stress Disorder.
Adam was a kind soul who loved his country, his family and his God. He enjoyed the outdoors and being the mountains. He will be forever missed and loved by all he left behind.
Adam is survived by sa son, Kaleb Wehinger; daughter, Izabelle Wehinger; his mother and step-father Susan E. and Gregg Jones; step-mother, Laura Wehinger; sisters, Heather Solis and Chandra Smith, Alisha Jones and Michelle Jones; a brother, Nathan Wehinger and beloved grandparents.

The memorial service for Mr. Wehinger was held at the Central Point Assembly of God Church on May 8 at 7 p.m.
