Clothing exchange could mean free new wardrobe

Mark Friday and Saturday, May 21-22 as clothing exchange time.

Ellen Radcliffe is a junior at EPHS this project last year. Her project is a basic plan to help others through a trading or bartering system, no money changes hands. And in the end, those who participate could have a brand new wardrobe.

It works like this. You donate clothing you or your family no longer wants. One stipulation, be sure it is clean and in good condition– is it something you would be proud to wear if it still fit? Bring your clothing donations to the new gym at Eagle Point High School from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, May 21. You will receive a “coupon” with the total amount of clothing listed on your coupon. On Saturday, May 22, from 9 a.m. to 12 n you can bring that coupon to the new gym and pick out any items up to the number of items on your coupon. Donations are more than welcome from those not wishing to participate in an exchange but who see a need and a way to help others.

Ellen is working in conjunction with Trish Horton and her clothing program. If you are unable to drop off the clothes on May 21, or just want to be a donor, contact Trisha Horton at 541-890-8151. For questions, contact Ellen at 541-538-0872.
