EPHS gets Eagle award of their own

Tim Elbert, of Four Seasons Nursery, donated this bronze Eagle to Eagle Point High School.  He purchased the Eagle, which had a retail value of $5,400, to sell. But, the Eagle fell on hard times–facing a poor economy and then a nearly fatal fall.

Elbert talked with Ken Welburn,  who teaches welding at EPHS.. He was able to repair the Eagle and at that point Elbert decided to donate it to the high school, for which they are most appreciative.

Elbert received the Spirit of the Eagle award earlier this year. Elbert and Four Seasons Nursery will be putting up the petunia baskets in downtown Eagle Point next week and caring for them throughout the summer. Donations are still needed for that Chamber of Commerce project. Call Bob Russell, 541-826-3531.
