Neli Webb, 93, passed away peacefully May 10, at Golden Hours Foster Home, where she was in care of Kathy and Art Russell and caregivers.
She was born March 3, 1917 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where her folks homesteaded until 1922.. When the price of a cow and calf was $10 and the cost of hay was $90 a ton. They moved to Klamath County. Neli graduated from high school at Bonanza in 1934. She married Brown and was divorced; married George Hamilton and had two children. They were divorced and then she married Carl Webb who adopted the children. All three men are deceased.
She lived in Medford, Williams and Eagle Point. She worked at the EPHS cafeteria, and was a carrier for the Medford Mail Tribune for 25 years, retiring in 1985. She and Carl joined Good Sam & Crimson Cirlce, hit the road south for the winers until his passing in 1993. Neli kept going in the motorhome until she was forced to quit driving at the age of 89 due to illness.
She is survived by her son, W. Randy Webb (Sue), Visalia, Ca.; daughter, Nelda Copley (Melissa), Eagle Point; grandsons Brett Kerr (Cheryl), Gold Beach, Bryce Kerr (Melissa), Eagle Point, Scot Webb ()Angie), Eagle Point, Mike Webb (Diane), Central Point, and three grandchildren, Nick G.B. Bryce and Kaydee Kerr, Eagle Point.
