Randy Lee Bean, 53, of Prospect, died May 9, 2010 at his residence.
He was born April 28,1957, to Eldon “Stub” and Glee (Moore) Bean, in Medford.
His home was Duluth, Minn. For several years. He graduated from Clover Valley High in 1975 and joined the Navy upon graduation, serving until 1979. While in the Navy, he was a hydraulics mechanic for helicopters and fork lifts.
After his Navy tour, he moved to Prospect and pursued his natural talent of carpentry, which then became his lifetime career. He lived in Prospect the majority of his life. He enjoyed watching local and national drag racing, wood working and camping.
Mr. Bean was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Fayma, of Prospect; a daughter, Crystal (Will) Gierhart, of Silver City, N.M.; brothers, Leon (Barbara) Bean, of Eagle Point, Larry (Frances) Bean, of Prospect, and Gary (Pamela) Bean, also of Prospect; sisters, Eldonna (Al) Bartelt, of Brainerd, Minn. and Laura Bean (Carol Powell) of Shady Cove. He is also survived by his faithful dog, Kelo.
A gathering for family and friends was held May 16 in Prospect.
