Several hundred tandem bike riders enjoyed a stop in Eagle Point July 3. They were participates  in the 25th annual Northwest Tandem Bike Rally that made a pre-planned rest stop at the Butte Creek Mill.

Eagle Point/Upper Rogue Chamber of Commerce members greeted them, answered questions about the ara and helped serve nourishing snacks.

Attracting the most interest from local folks were the bikes seating four, and in at least one case, five riders.
At the end of the day, instead of folding up their tent, some riders just fold up their tandem, put in their car and drive away.

The rally was divided into a beginners, medium or experienced ride. The ride to  Eagle Point was a 25-miler from Medford. Others continued to Evans Valley for a total of 55 miles, while some made the entire round trip to Sams Valley, Rogue River and Gold Hill. This amounted to an 85 mile ride.
