Coats for kids golf needs support

The Shady Cove Open Golf Tournament on August 21 still needs more players for teams. The charity tournament funds coats and shoes for economically disadvantaged kids in the Upper Rogue as well as the Shady Cove and White City Boys & Girls Clubs. Fabulous prizes such as a truck, Willie’s Drift Boat, $10,000 and other cash prizes may be won in the fun event.

An enjoyable banquet, auction and raffle at the end of the day promises to be a good finale. Some auction items are fishing trips on the coast and the Rogue River, getaways at resorts and donated services from businesses. Shady Cove and Elk Trail Schools Principal, Tiffany O’Donnell, said there has been an out pouring of donations from business owners.

Join your neighbors and friends in supporting youth at this event. For non-golfers, tickets for the banquet and auction are $25. For a tournament entry form go to shadycoveopen.com or call Bill at 541-621-8777. Entry forms are also available at the Eagle Point Golf Club Pro Shop.
