Norma Ella Dickerson

Norma Ella Dickerson died Aug. 20, 2010 at her home in Rogue River. She moved to Rogue River from White City in October 2009.

She was born on June 27, 1922, to Joseph Roy and Ella Pinkerton, in Granite City, Il. She attend school through grade 12 in Granite City. On Feb. 15, 1941, she married Carl M. Dickerson. They moved to Merced, Calif., and in 1960 moved to San Diego.

She was employed by Montgomery Ward for about 20 years, retiring in 1982. Dickersons moved to White City in 1991 and to Rogue River last fall.  She enjoyed running her household, gardening and sewing for the grandchildren, making quilts and most of all traveling.

She and her husband had four children; Carl, Jr., Norma Sue, Thomas Roy and David Allen. She  is survived by 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She has been a member of the Butte Creek Baptist Church for 20 years. A memorial service will be held at the church n Eagle Point on Friday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m.
