D-9 Foundation fundraisers, Sept. 11-12

The 10th annual D-9 Foundation dinner and auction is this Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Eagle Point Golf Club. This year will be a luau with Hawaiian cuisine and entertainment. The social hour and silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by the dinner at 6:30 and then the oral auction. The cost of the dinner is $40 per person or $75 per couple. A sampling of silent and oral auction items includes: hay, 3/4 minus rock, $500 Series EE savings bond, brake job, oil change, fence posts and an assorted case of wine, half a hog, dinner for eight at Butte Creek Mill, $200 landscaping along with plants from the spring FFA sale, dinner at Agate Ridge Winery, youth turkey hunt, tri-tip BBQ for 30 and, of course, the opportunity to support with cash donation, along with many other items..

The 11th annual golf tournament will be held on Sunday, Sept. 12. This will be highlighted by a golf ball drop from a helicopter with one lucky individual winning $750 in cash. The D-9 Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose goals are to enhance the opportunities for students in School District 9. Our Mission is helping serve the educational needs of School District 9. Our ultimate goal is to provide every graduating senior with a scholarship for their continuing education while supporting the student needs of all students.
