The Eagles had the ball with 4 ½ minutes left and drove down the field to within the one yard line when Foster made the TD, putting the score 32 Eagle Point, 30 North Eugene.
Foster had 156 yds. rushing with two touchdowns. Garret Snow had 147 yards rushing with a TD and Shane Bluhm had a touchdown, 84 yards passing and 62 rushing.
The regular season concludes this Friday in Ashland, the other hybrid team in southern Oregon. Statically Coach Shauffler says the two teams are pretty even. Although he wasn’t making a prediction, one gets the impression that with the way the Eagles are playing, if they stay focused they should come home with a victory. And, if that is the case, that would be huge. It would mean a bye for the Eagles, home field advantage and an opportunity for the coaches to go scouting their opponent.
The team is hoping for strong support from Eagle Point fans as they kick off at 7 p.m. in Ashland.
