Leonard Francis Negles, 88, of Eagle Point, died Sept.26, 2010.
He was born Jan. 12, 1922, in Harding, Colo., to Joseph V. And Ruby (Jones) Negles. He lived in the Rogue Valley since his early childhood.
Leonard served honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII. In April 1953, he married Velda Jean Willems, who preceded him in death in 1996. He drove truck and delivered freight locally. One of his many accomplishments in life was building his own home. He also enjoyed fishing.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by two daughters; Christine Negles-Carter, of Eagle Point, and Clover Negles, of Georgia; a brother, Ronald Negles; a sister, Betty Hammond, of Medford; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A viewing was held followed by graveside services on Oct. 1.
