Saturday's Oregon State University Baseball Scrimmage Cancelled Due To Weather

Because of the weekend’s weather forecast calling for rain, the Medford Youth Baseball Society has announced that the Oregon State Beavers’ scrimmage Saturday, Oct. 23 at Medford’s Harry & David Field has been cancelled. At this time, a make-up game has not been planned.

“It’s very unfortunate to cancel the game and we are sorry that local fans will not be able to see the Beavers play here in Medford,” said Gary Miller, president of Medford Youth Baseball Society President, sponsor of the game. “Cold and rainy weather would have significantly dropped the game’s attendance. Our planning committee made the decision to cancel the game based on the financial liability Medford Youth Baseball Society would face if the Beavers would have travelled to Medford and the game was not played.”
