Help will be needed Dec. 6 and 7 to package the items. Campus Life has donated their facility each of those evenings starting at 5 p.m.
Donations of food items, personal comfort items and recreational items are wanted.
Food items such as dried items such as Ramen Noodles, jerky, protein bars, nuts, powdered drinks, (hot and cold), are a few ideas.
Some ideas for personal care are wet wipes, lens cleaner wipes, chap stick, bug repellent in cream form, soap, shampoo and sun screen.
Books, prepaid phone cards, hunting magazines, batteries and frisbees are recreational ideas.
Donation containers can be found at Valley Feed & Pet Supply in Eagle Point, Big R, and at Grange Coop Stores
It costs between $10.70 and $12.75 per box to ship items. Donations of cash as well as items are needed. Cash donations should be made out to Boys Scouts of America, P.O. Box 1348, Eagle Point, OR 97524.
