Hank Rademacher, a 1985 graduate of Eagle Point High school, will be the guest speaker at the annual Scholarship Dessert, Thursday, Dec. 2. He attended Oregon State University where he studied Ag Economics. While at the university he joined the USMC Reserves and then left OSU in 1987 to go active duty in the USMC. He served in Washington, DC for a year on the Presidential Honor Guard. He also served in Operation Desert Storm.
When he returned to Eagle Point he worked in construction at first and then from 1993 until 2003 he drove log and flat bed trucks. Then in November 2003 he started his career with COUNTRY Financial and plans to be part of the firm until he retires. He and his wife, Becky, have been married for 14 + years. They are the parents of three wonderful children; Myra 12, Abigail 9 and Samuel 7. Hank is also active in the D-9 Foundation, Knights of Columbus, Eagle Point & the Upper Rogue Chamber of Commerce and 4H.
Entertainment will be provided by the man they call “Triple Threat” Frank Ricci, now a resident of Shady Cove.
Community members are asked to host a table and invite six or eight. As hostess, plan on providing table linens, as well as table service (paper or china) for the dessert you bring. Coffee, tea and water is served by members of the National Honor Society. Add a festive centerpiece and be ready to welcome your guests to the 24th annual fund raiser.
There is no charge to attend. At the end of the evening each hostess will pass an envelope to each guest asking them to make a donation to the scholarship fund.
