Hunters provide for others during holiday

For the last fifteen years or so, the Oregon Hunters Association have provided Christmas food boxes for those in need and this year is no different. Proceeds from an annual banquet each January and donations from Fred Thomas, owner of Shady Cove Market, make the project possible. The boxes contain not only a turkey and all the trimmings but staples such as cereal, milk and pancake mix. The goal is not only to help the disadvantaged but make people happy for a little while, said Trail Resident, Ron Sherva, of the Rogue Valley Chapter of the association.
