She was born Oct. 15, 1938, in Mendocino, Calif.,to the late John and Dorothy Remstedt, of Eagle Point. She was raised in Point Arena, Calif.,where she married Harold “Hank” Snow, on Aug. 20, 1955. He preceded her in death in February 2003. They were married 48 years and raise six children.
In June 1968, the family moved to Eagle Point from Manchester, Calif., where she loved being a homemaker. She worked as a food demonstrator inside Costco for several years.
She enjoyed raising farm animals, riding horses, gardening, reading, listening to music, from operas to her grandchildren playing their favorite instruments. She enjoyed 4H and FFA livestock shows, spending time with family and friends and volunteering at school. She was a long time member of White City Christian Church, a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and past sponsor of Eagle Point High School FFA.
She is survived by her children; John (Natalie), Doug (Karen), Matthew, Heather (Eric) Stewart, all of Eagle Point, and Jennifer (Jeff) Gustafson, of Shady Cove and Margaret (Rick) Thiele, of Springfield; grandchildren Carl, John, Scott, Jennifer, Kristin, Shelby, Andrew, Kimberley, Garrett, Landrie; three great-grandchildren Samantha, Lanie and Addison and three sisters, Peggy Sundstrom of Gualala, Calif., Donna Fanning, of Shady Cove and Rae Jones of Yakima, Wash. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gayle Murphy, of Denver, Colo. and a brother, Gary “Jake” Remstedt, of Eagle Point.
A memorial service was held Jan. 8 at Antelope Sunday School, Alta Vista Road, Eagle Point. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Conger-Morris, Central Point.
