EPMS 8th grade Lady Panthers

The Eagle Point Middle School 8th grade Lady Panthers hosted two games this week and picked up wins in both, as they defeated Lincoln Savage 51-10 and they bested White Mountain by a 42-9 count.

Against Lincoln Savage the Panthers jumped out early and never looked back. All eight players hit the scoring column led by Sydney May with 16. Kayla Nielsen added a season high 11, followed by Stephanie Ewen and Lucy Linville with 6 points each, Janelle Rodgers and Hailey Beebe with 4 each, and Brooke Hanks and Kennedie Fischetti tacked on 2 points each.

Against White Mountain the Panthers again got out early jumping out to a 16-2 first quarter lead. Defense was the key as the Panthers gave up no more than 3 points in any quarter. May and Hanks led the Panthers with 11and 10 points respectively, followed by Linville with 8, Beebe and Nielsen with 4 points each. Ewen knocked down a 3 pointer to account for her points and Rodgers added 2 points to round out the scoring.

The Panthers currently sport a 15-3 record with two games to play.
