{gallery}/03_08_11/BFwrestling{/gallery} The Butte Falls Middle School Wrestling Team finished off their first season that included competition with other schools.  The 7th and 8th grade wrestlers ended the season with a successful showing by all four wrestlers who attended the 17 team middle school conference championships in Eagle Point.

At 108, 7th grader, Luke McGonagle was in one of the toughest weights, with 3 undefeated wrestlers occupying the first 3 seeds.  Luke fought his way through the bracket to earn a 7th place finish, avenging an earlier loss from the beginning of the season. At 143, 7th grader, Beau Ingraham placed 3rd with an exciting last second throw to win by one point.
At 153, 7th grader, Aidan Cool-Hunsaker wrestled his way to a 2nd place finish.
At 153, 8th grader, Alex Cool-Hunsaker finished third with a first round pin over his opponent.  Alex was seeded 6th.

This was the first year any of these wrestlers have ever competed in wrestling.  All of these wrestlers, including 6th graders Zach Blake and Tony Tacchini, represented their community well with great supportive attitudes and good sportsmanship throughout the wrestling season.
