Carla Lee Myers, 67, died at the home she shared with lifetime friend, Rovana Regennitter, in Shady Cove, on Mar. 25, 2011. She was born in Stockton Calif., on Nov. 1, 1943, to Delbert and Ruth Lawry-Myers, who preceded her in death.
She spent most of her life in the Rogue Valley after moving here in 1971. She was an avid reader and enjoyed drinking hot tea as she worked on crossword puzzles or coloring in her books. Her love of music was passed down from her parents and on to her children. She taught herself to play guitar, violin and the accordion, but was most in her element at the piano.
She was deeply spiritual and had a love of learning the scripture through Bible studies. Her favorite verse was Psalm 46:10.
She will be most remembered for her love of family.
She is survived by a daughter, Theresa Morris; sons, John Bartlett and Walter Kirchner; and a sister, Judy Northcutt; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kirchner and three infant children, as well a her sisters, Christine Hadden and JoAnne Webb.
The family sends heartfelt thanks for the thoughtful care provided by Kathy Finley, FNP and the Providence Hospice team.
A celebration of life was held Apr. 2 at the Church of the Nazarene in Prospect. Pastor Monte Wing of Sheridan, Ore. officiated. Interment was at the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
