Leslie “Les” Wayne Welburn, 58, of White City, died April 13, 2011, at Rogue Valley Medical Center, after a long illness.
He was born on Aug. 7, 1952, in Ashland, to Donald and Jean Welburn.
Mr. Welburn was a graduate of Phoenix High School and attended Rogue Community College. He worked in many different industries during his lifetime, including owning his own log hauling company. He finished his career at Pacific Electrical Contractors, where he was employed for over 18 years.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Shirley and daughters, Kimberly Badilla (Dennis), Stacey St. Arnold (Justin) and son, Craig Welburn (Heather); four grandchildren, and his mother, Jean Welburn. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda, and by his father, Donald.
The service for Mr. Welburn was held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford on April 15. The family asked that donations be made to the local Relay for Life. The family would like to thank the health care providers who contributed to Mr. Welburn’s care over the past few years.
