Raymond Joseph Angel, age 73, died Mar. 30, 2011 at Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford.
He was born July 20, 1937in Long Run, Ohio to Lucille Karr and Joseph Angel. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee from 1954-1958. He married Mary Louise Wiley on Sept. 19, 1959, in Tucson, Az.
Mr. Angel was employed as a carpenter and worked on the Alaska Pipeline the 1970s. He was a member of the Local Carpenters Union. Table Rock Fellowship, Trail Christian Fellowship and Denmaster of Pack 8 at Jackson School in Medford.
Mr. Angel dedicated his life to love of family and serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He enjoyed a number of hobbies including hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, beekeeping, ham radio and pigeons.
He is survived by his wife Mary Louise Wiley Angel; brothers Tom Angel and Fred Karrr; sister Judy Zapan; three children, Christean White, Jimy Angel and Brook Angel; seven grandchildren, Melissa Lafreniere, Holly Navarro, Jamie Jacoby, Lauren Angel, Lacy Angel, Maxfield Angel, Sara Angel and Wyatt Angel; five great-grandchildren, Camryn, Jackson, Elise, Preston,and LillyAnne. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jackie Hale and son Joseph Michael Angel.
A public memorial service will be held at Table Rock Fellowship on Saturday, Apr. 16 at 10 a.m. Pastor Ron Swanson will officiate. Mr. Angel is interred at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. .A service with military honors was officiated by his brother Tom Angel.
