Eagles track sweeps Ashland 92-40 & 76-55

Wednesday May 4 was the most beautiful day of the spring and
the Eagle Track Team took full advantage of the great conditions.
While visiting Ashland  the boys defeated Ashland 91-40 and the
Girls defeated Ashland 76-55.

Tyrone Holmes achieved four firsts including a personal record in the shot put (51’6.75”). That effort is currently 4th best in the state.
Sophomore Caleb Ash also scored four firsts with an outstanding effort in the long jump (20’4”). Aaron Foster also surpassed the twenty foot barrier with a pr (20’2”). Garrett Snow hit a season best 171’7” in the javelin, a mark that is 3rd for 5A state throwers. Senior Zach Reed won the triple jump with his pr jump of (40′).

Senior Cassie Boykin led the girls with three victories, including
anchoring the 4×100 Relay to a season best (51.45a). Casie Johnson had a hand in three wins as well. Freshman Kim Simpson won the 400M with a season best (65.57a). Senior Corrie Culpepper had a solid series of throws in winning the shot.(34’5.75”)

JV District was held Saturday May 7 at Crater HS. Varsity district will be held May 13-14 at Summitt HS in Bend.
