The Oprah Surprise Spectacular was definitely that! So many stars, one right after the other – I was giddy all night! My favorites were the little girl who sings opera, although I didn’t catch her name. She sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” to kick the show off, Stevie Wonder sang I”sn’t She Lovely” and Aretha Franklin took us all to church with “Amazing Grace.” It was awesome! Here’s a list of everyone who showed up (except the little girl whose name I don’t know):

Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Josh Grogan, Patti Labelle, Madonna, Dakota Fanning, Beyonce’, Diane Sawyer, Katie Holmes, Halle Berry, Queen Latifah, Rascal Flats, Will Smith, Jada Smith, Michael Jordan, Jamie Fox, Stevie Wonder, Jerry Seinfeld, Simon Cowell, Rosie O’Donnell, Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, Nate Burkes, Gale King, Maria Shriver, Tyler Perry, Kristen Chenoweth, Alicia Keys, Maya Angelo, Steadman, Aretha Franklin and Usher.

Despite an hour delay in opening the doors at the United Center and the chilly weather while waiting, it was just magical. I’m attaching some pictures, although the ones inside the center are not great. We were able to get to the HARPO studio and get a picture there.  It was also wonderful to see so many “Crew” shirts running around.  Just knowing that CustomInk played a role in this amazing event just filled me up. I even gave the shirt off my back to a lady we met at the museum whose daughter in law was a guest on her show that night. Even they couldn’t get tickets so we really knew how lucky we were to be going. There were a handful of people that we saw trying to buy tickets, one was even offering $2k to get in. Clearly it was the event of the century!

We also found out (too late for the URI) that there will be 3 shows created out of the one night. Two will be on the Oprah Show and one will be for the Behind The Scenes show on OWN.  Although I had originally been told these were the last two shows, they will now be airing on Monday and Tuesday with a quiet farewell by Oprah on Wednesday, the 25th – which will be her final show.”
