This year’s event will recognize stage and screen star, Ginger Rogers, during her “Centennial Birthday Year”; Ginger was an accomplished artist and friend of the Upper Rogue.
There are three distinct areas for the event: Edgewater conference room: tented gallery and lower levels. In addition there will be displays in the Edgewater courtyard and the 700 ft. walk along the river bank.
Wildlife, bronze, fine art photography, silver and jewelry with names such as Russ Walke4r, Trudy Lee Estes, Carl Seyboldt, David Irwin and Gail O’Dell.
Names familiar and those new to the ArtWalk with everything from a just published children’s book, to bronzes, oils, photographs on canvas, garden art, and woodcraft are just a few examples of displays from the 100 artists.
Demonstration of Fly Tying Skills by David Roberts, Fly Fishing Guide, will take place on the Lower Bank, Saturday afternoon, following the “Kalmiopsis Players”, a folk music and dance group from Ashland. (See advertisement in this publication for details.)
Catered food includes Jeffro’s BBQ, of Shady Cove; Salvioli’s Italian Kitchen; and, the Rogue River Lodge will bring a sense of culinary art to this year’s ArtWalk. Award winning winery, Crater Lake Cellars, will pour wine samplings…
Guests are asked to not park in the Motel or RV Park, as those parking spaces are reserved for their guests. ArtWalk guests are encouraged to “Park and Shuttle” from Two Pines (south of SC Bridge) and Premier West Bank (north of SC Bridge); an overflow parking on White Oak Ridge next to Jackson County “FEE” parking is convenient across from Edgewater Inn; please use the temporary cross walk.
