BFalls run to benefit Butte Falls Volunteer Fire Dept.

The 6th annual Butte Falls Fun Run/Walk, which is always a big benefit for the Butte Falls Volunteer Fire Department, will be held Saturday, Aug. 13 beginning at 8 a.m.

Pre-registration entry including a T-shirt is $20 ($25 for XXL) or $10 for those who pre-register without a T-shirt. Race day registration is $15 with signup extremely limited from 7-7:30 a.m.

The event is a one mile and a 5K run/walk. Both courses begin and end on Broad Street, in front of city hall and both are on paved roads. The 5K is especially beautiful as it crosses Big Butte Creek which is gorgeous, and surrounded by the forest at an elevation of 2,500 ft.

There will be ribbons for 1st -3rd  in each age group with a special ribbon for the overall winner.

There are a number of prizes in the drawing after the race, but racers need to be present in order to win. Some of the prizes include gift certificates from The Candy Shop in Jacksonville, Academy Video and Heaven Scent Flowers & Gifts, both in Eagle Point, and a free photo shoot by Laci Lacy, among many other prizes.

The race is sponsored by Butte Falls Natural Spring Water and Southern Oregon Runners.

Refreshments will be available and there will be a race entrant prize drawing for those present at the drawing.
