There are three entry gates to the ArtWalk; all are approached by “Park & Ride” shuttle service; designated courtesy parking at: Two Pines (south of the Bridge), and PremierWest Bank (north of Bridge); Fee parking, at Rogue River Drive, across from Edgewater Inn. Guests are encouraged to pick up an Event Program for complete list of artist’s booth site, performance schedule, and catered food stations.
A Guest Book at Main Entrance and Gate #2 is available for the expected 4,000 weekend attendees to sign for a chance to win a signed and numbered print by this year’s featured artist, Scott Lang, of Shady Cove, an award winning Americana realist working in acrylic and watercolors.
New to this year’s artwalk, includes wildlife artist, Trudy Lee Estes, of Glendale, Oregon (Edgewater Conference Room); Jim Geiger and Brenda Geiger, Central Point, showing stoneware and fine paintings (Saturday only) adjacent to the Conference Room. On the Lower level, Shannon Queen, Photographer; Carolyn Stancliff, of Shady Cove, sharing space with Leona Haiker; Thomas Ricciardi, Studio Art Glass and Carolyn Hein, Eagle Point; and from Prospect, Jim & Gail Anderson, Pine Crest Studio, featuring works of art using antler, wood, bronze sculpture; also, pine needle baskets.
Demonstrations of Art will include: Weaving (on East Bank – Gate #3) by Blossom Merz, Wolf Creek. The art of Fly Tying will be demonstrated by Fly Fishing Guide, David Roberts, Saturday afternoon, on the RV Park’s lower River bank.
Several performing artists will entertain: Saturday, Richard Gyuro, Eagle Point, “Classical Accordion” 10 am to Noon; “The Kalmiopisis Players” from Ashland, 10 am to Noon; Chris ‘N Dom, (RV Park River Deck) 11am to 1:30pm; and, “The Diamonds & Denim Band” follow at
2 pm to 4:30pm, featuring Julie Millard Griffith.
Sunday featured performances on River Deck include: “Sons of the Oregon Trail” (11am to 1pm); followed at 1 pm with Pete Herzog, Trail, returning to present a relaxed performance showcasing history of the blues through a captivating journey of a “Steel Guitar”.
Catered Food includes Jeffro’s BBQ, Shady Cove and Lisa Salvioli’s Italian Kitchen, Central Point at RV Park Pavillion area. The Rogue River Lodge will feature BBQ Oysters and Blackened Salmon Sandwiches in the covered BBQ area, at Edgewater Inn. Wine Tasting by Crater Lake Cellars on Lower ArtWalk; ATM service at Edgewater Inn (by the stairs).
A Kids ArtZone (Saturday only),10 am to 3 pm, at Aunt Caroline’s Park (Hwy 62 at Indian Creek Road) will include interactive art and entertainment. Free entrance; donations welcomed; parking on site.
