Finally, Eagle Point football has a place in the world of Oregon football leagues. No more hybrid, something few understood.
Eagle Point is now a member of the Midwestern League. Its membership is fairly familiar to the Eagles having played them when the Eagles had no real place in the never-never-land of hybrid.
Both Ashland and Eagle Point will meet Marist (#1 in the league), Churchill, which went into last week’s pre-season tied with Eagle Point for 2nd place, Springfield, Marshfield, Willamette and North Eugene. Ashland was seen as 4th in the league, again before the season began.
