Shirley was born October 28, 1943 in Winslow, AZ to Sam and Monica Vigil. She lost her battle with breast cancer September 11, 2011at the age of 67 at home with her family at her side.
Shirley grew up in San Jose, CA where she met Leo, her husband of 48 years. After starting their family together in Redwood City, CA they moved to Eagle Point, OR in June, 1974, where they have made their home ever since. Shirley spent her entire working career at Sears in Medford, OR. She retired in October 2005 after 30 years of service.
Shirley was a caring and giving person who always put others before herself. She loved playing bunco with her friends, reading novels and spending time with her family.
Shirley was predeceased in death by both of her parents, her sister Aurelia Gutierrez, and her son-in-law Jay Dungey. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who know that she is in a better place now. Shirley is survived by her sisters Paula Ross and Patricia Hart of San Jose, CA; husband Leo Rademacher; daughter Lea Dungey of Bend, OR; son Hank and (Becky) Rademacher and daughter Claire and (Darrin) Thornton of Eagle Point and six wonderful grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Shirley’s name to Providence Home Care and Hospice, 2033 Commerce Dr, Medford 97504.
A funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Shady Cove. Private family interment at a later date.
