Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Southern Oregon is participating in National Protect Your Identity Week, Oct. 16-22.
Consumer Credit is partnering with 911 Cell Phone Bank, a non-profit cell phone recycling company that works with National Sheriffs’ Association. Consumer Credit will be assisting with the collection of old cell phones and delivering them to the 911 Cell Phone Bank. After being wiped clean of personal information, these cell phones will be re-distributed to the Sheriffs’ Association. The sheriffs’ will then distribute the phones to meet the needs of affiliated victim services agencies.
During this week, people wishing to donate their old cell phones to this cause can drop them off at Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Southern Oregon in the Cedar Mall (820 Crater Lake Ave Suite 202, Medford) Monday – Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
