Doris Jean (Tracy) Womelsdorf

On Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, Doris Jean (Tracy) Womelsdorf, 83, of Eagle Point, was called home by the Lord.Doris was born Oct 26, 1928 to Joseph and Vecie (Beem) Tracy, in Elgen, Oregon.

In her 20s she married James D. Hall and had two beautiful children, Robert Dean Hall and Vecie Mae (Hall) Grant. After almost 10 years of marriage James Hall passed away.

Later Doris married Russell Womelsdorf, and moved to Eagle Point. They were married for more then 30 years. Russell Womelsdorf passed away in 2010.

Doris earned her bachelors degree in teaching, and theology. She taught  English and typing and Sunday school  at Grace Christian School in Medford. In the 1980s, Doris started her own business, DJ Bookkeeping in Eagle Point. She retired in 2010.

Doris was loved by many, young and old alike. She had many God given children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the Lord and never stopped learning. While in a nursing home for a short time, she found a need. Many people in wheelchairs were cold. Doris started a ministry making small lap blankets. With the help of good friends over 100 have been crochet and given away.

Her son, Robert Dale Hall, gave Doris three grandsons, Anthony A. Hall, Russell J. Hall and Jeremy J. Hall. Her daughter, Vecie Mae (Hall) Grant, gave Doris three granddaughters, Blaise, Jaymi and Kristina.  Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and her son Robert. Thank you all for loving her and being there when she need help you know who you are.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Butte Creek Baptist Church, 429 N. Royal, in Eagle Point.
